Indications

Intra-stent Restenosis: the 4 lines of knobs on the GRIP anchor the balloon to the lesion during balloon inflation, reducing the risk of dissection at the stent margins. This is particularly appropriate in intra-stent restenosis where surface is slippery due to hyperplastic tissue.
Post-Stent Dilation: stent underexpansion remains an important cause of stent thrombosis and stent restenosis.
Using the GRIP™, physicians can post-dilate the underexpanded stent in the most effective way, optimizing the expansion of the stent as well as the crushing of the remaining plaque between the struts of the stent.
Heavily calcified lesions: the GRIP™ is made of a strong synthetic material that can treat heavily calcified lesions while avoiding the potential danger of using metal blades to cut through the plaque.
